Preview: Brazil-Japan

Written by Sebastien on 14 June 2013. Posted in Confederations Cup 2013

The team that Luiz Felipe Scolari prepared is still a huge question-mark. The players with a strong personality (Ronaldinho, Kaka) are missing and a young but extremely talented team will be tested in the brazilian stadiums, one year before the World Cup 2014 kick-off. Scolari will play 4-2-3-1 with Fred as a Poacher and Neymar, Oscar and Hulk playing as attacking midfielders behind him.

On the other hand, Alberto Zaccheroni has prepared a team that will participate for 5th time in its history in the Confederations Cup. Japan is Asia's biggest hope for something good in World Cup 2014 as it is a team with experience but also "european" characteristics in the way they play. They like maintaining ball possession and trying to find the appropriate moment to score. But also, against stronger opponents, they usually hit on the counter attack. Something that will definitely happen against Brazil.
