Each World Cup Tournament has it's own emblem, a logo that is used to help football fans all over the world connect the whole tournament with this unique image. Of course, World Cup Emblem is also useful for branding reasons: Merchandising is built around each tournament's logo, sponsors use the power of this unique image and people all over the world recognise it easily, bringing to memory all the great times that each World Cup has offered to them.

Brazil is a unique country, a country full of colours. So the World Cup 2014 emblem should be colourful, with green, yellow and blue being the colours that are mostly used. No less than 25 design agencies -based in Brazil- submitted their proposal for 2014 World Cup emblem but the winner was "Africa", a brazilian agency.

Brazil: Culture

Written by Sebastien on Saturday, 16 February 2013 16:29. Posted in 2014 Brazil World Cup

The Brazilian culture is a fascinating mix derived from centuries of colonization. Brazil was a Portuguese colony for three centuries, so the core of its culture is inherited from Portugal. Native Americans and Africans also inhabited the Brazilian lands during the colonization, influencing the culture. The native inhabitants mixed with Portuguese people or were exterminated. Portuguese people came together with their black Africans slaves and, even though, they had to speak the Portuguese language, they managed to influence the natives. More recently, in the 19th and 20th century, immigrants from numerous European countries and even from Japan came to Brazil. The result is a multicultural and multiethnic society with a very complex culture.
